Police have arrested a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred on January 31, 2015. That hit-and-run accident left pedestrian, Daniel R. Miller, 77, dead.

Joseph Patrick McDonald, 22, was booked on suspicion of leaving the scene of a fatal accident. He has also been arrested for drug violations, shoplifting, a probation violation as well as some other potential charges.

According to police, McDonald was driving a 2002 Hyundai Accent when he struck and killed Miller. Miller was crossing Bell Road near 12th Street just a little after 5 p.m. on January 31. The Hyundai was abandoned when police found it. The driver was identified as McDonald by the police. McDonald was then located and arrested near Bell Road and I-17.
